You Haven’t Heard of…Davidian?!?!?!

davidian

These bad ass German metallers are definitely a band you want to check out if your looking for a sharp and heavy Hardcore/American Melodic vibe. These guys showed up on the radar around 2003 with the release of their self-produced debut album Abuse of Power and have released two more albums since. I had the privilege of seeing these guys play live last year and I became an instant fan.

Creative riffs, great stage presence, and great vocals.

Members:

Alex Schniepp – Guitar

Micha Weidler – Guitar

Tim Hinderer – Bass

Alex Scherf – Drums

Tobi Brausch – Vocals

Discography:

Abuse of Power (2003)

Hear Their Cries (2008)

Our Fear Is Their Force (2012)

Tribute to a Fallen Legend: R.I.P Jeff Hanneman

Jeff Hanneman

This past Friday morning at around 11 am, the world of Metal lost a great leader, innovator, pioneer, and legend. The guitarist and founding member of Big four band Slayer,  Jeff Hanneman passed away leaving a huge gap in not just Metal but in all of music. This post is a tribute to a man who lived, breathed, and loved being heavy as hell, giving us all a reason to throw up our devil horns.

Jeff and James

RIP Jeff

Hottie of the Week: Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies

Heidi Shepherd - Hottie of the Week

Not a big fan of her band Butcher Babies though they can tend to be pretty bad ass at times, but for this segment of Metal-Rocks.com we aren’t reviewing the band. The smoking hot co-vocalist of the band is rarely seen wearing anything but strategically placed electrical tape and a few pints of blood, leading to instant drool when mixed with electric guitar.

Check out Heidi in action with Butcher Babies:

May the Gods of METAL bless us with more of her kind!

HBotW: Nothing Else Matters – Metallica

Though not a song known for being headbang material, this weeks’  headbang is Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. Why? Because the video for this track off the bands’ epic self titled album debuted on this day in 1992.
